The Salvation Army (Hamilton) — Letter of Support (Pastor Fidelis Temukum)

The Salvation Army — Doing the Most Good Hamilton Service Center 217 N. 3rd St. Hamilton Montana 59840 Tel: 406 210 1453

Ravalli County Board of Health 205 Bedford St., Suite L Hamilton, MT. 59840

Dear members of the Ravalli County Board of Health,

I am writing to express my strong support for the Big Sky Christian Center Homeless Shelter, led by Mr. Harris Himes, and to urge you to recognize the vital role this organization plays in our community.

As the director of The Salvation Army in Ravalli County for almost nine years, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by individuals and families struggling with housing insecurity. The need for emergency housing is evident, particularly for those released from the county jail with nowhere to go.

Mr. Himes and the Big Sky Christian Center have been a crucial partner in addressing this need. Over the years, we have placed or helped to pay for stay at this center for over 100 individuals, and I can attest to the positive impact it has had on our community.

Unfortunately, the housing crisis in our valley and nationwide continues to worsen, leaving more people vulnerable to homelessness. In this context, Mr. Himes’ efforts are more crucial than ever. His dedication to serving the most vulnerable members of our society is truly commendable, and his work deserves our recognition and support.

The continuation of the Big Sky Christian Center Homeless Shelter and the critical role it plays in serving our community’s most vulnerable members is very crucial.

We support them and the work they do in our community.

For His Glory and for His Service,

Pastor Fidelis Temukum Ravalli County Center Director.
