My family and I moved to the Bitterroot from the Flathead almost 16 years ago. Immediately, we became aware of the impact Big Sky Christian Center Homeless Shelter has on the valley. Led by Pastor Harris Himes, the shelter has helped countless people who are in a transitional period of life.
As the pastor at Hamilton Assembly of God, I have worked closely with Pastor Himes on many occasions. As a church, we rely heavily on the shelter to help people in their time of need. Many times we have sent people to the shelter because putting them up in a hotel for any length of time is not feasible, not sensible. The shelter gives us a far better option in meeting the peoples’ needs.
The shelter has been a huge help to us at Hamilton Assembly of God church. We would have to turn many needy people away if the shelter did not exist. Your support of Big Sky Christian Center Homeless Shelter and Pastor Harris Himes is vital to meeting the needs of this valley.
We support the shelter, its residents, and its leadership. We ask that you do the same.
